About Linda Vallejo

Linda Vallejo received her BA in Fine Arts from Whittler College, completed undergraduate studies in lithography from the University of Madrid, Spain, and received a MFA from Cal State University, Long Beach. She has exhibited nationally and internationally and is in the permanent collections of Los Angeles County Museum of Art , The National Museum of Mexican Art, and the Carnegie Art Museum . Vallejo was included in The California/International Arts Foundation’s new encyclopedia “L.A. Rising: SoCal Artists Before 1980” and was included in the Getty Foundation’s initiative, Pacific Standard Time: Art in LA 1945-1980 in two exhibitions including “Mapping Another LA: The Chicano Art Movement” at the UCLA Fowler Museum and “Doin’ It in Public: Art and Feminism at the Woman’s Building” at the Ben Maltz Gallery, Otis College of Art. Vallejo’s “A Prayer for the Earth Eco Installation” solo exhibition is being presented at the Southwest Museum, Texas, in Spring 2012.
