On Friday, May 21, 1993, from 6 – 10 pm, GALERIA LAS AMERICAS will present an impressive exhibition of over thirty contemporary Latin American artists representing South America, Central America, Mexico, Cuba, Spain and the United States. EXPRESIONES DE NUESTRO CONTINENTE will begin GALERIA LAS AMERICAS 1993 calendar of revolving exhibitions set in a salon atmosphere. Galería Las Américas is dedicated to the confirmation and advancement of contemporary Mexicano, Chicano, and Latino Americana fine arts, artists and collectors. The philosophy of “Full Spectrum” artists is readily understood in this exhibition of over one hundred works. “Full Spectrum” incorporates the concept that each distinct voice within the Latin American art community is significant and deserving of respect and support.
GALERIA LAS AMERICAS believes in the “New Generation of the Latin American Collector.” Owner Linda Vallejo has received awards of merit from the National Association of Chicano Studies and the Comision Femenil de Los Angeles, a national Latin American women’s professional organization, for her entrepreneurial efforts in educating and developing a contemporary Latin American art market.
