The California Sculpture SLAM is an open invitation competition, without restriction or adherence to restrictive thematic guidelines has inspired an extraordinary collection of works. For the 2013 competition 64 works from 45 artists included sculpture crafted of metal, wood, stone, glass, and mixed media.  Chuck Arnoldi, world renowned contemporary artist working from his studio in Venice, California, served as juror.

The winners of the 2013 SLAM also included:

Second Place, Christine Fincke for Brand New Rocking Relic
Third Place, Ya Ya Chou for Chandelier II
Honorable Mention, Henry Wessels for Merde Face Intoxicante
